The word cancer strikes fear in all of us; however, with new advances in veterinary medicine many pets are living longer with a greatly improved quality of life. The fear that your beloved pet will spend his or her final days sick from chemotherapy treatments is unwarranted. Pets respond much differently to chemotherapy than do humans.
For pets diagnosed with cancer, we perform limited chemotherapy but most often refer our clients to specialists who can treat their pet with chemotherapy and radiation. We have successfully helped many cancer patients with Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine to support those patients receiving chemotherapy. TCVM has also been used as a sole therapy for non-surgical cancers and for pets whose owners decline traditional oncology treatments.
