Dr. Cole is a native of Vancouver and a graduate of Washington State University, where she received both her B.S. in biology and her DVM. She originally intended to be a nurse, but after having to repeatedly take her dog, Gracie, into the vet for a knee injury and seeing what wonderful care Gracie received, her aspirations changed and she was eventually hired on at that same clinic as an assistant while she completed her undergraduate course of study.
As a high school student, Dr. Cole volunteered at the Humane Society, and later, while she studied for her doctorate in veterinary medicine, she served as an all-call surgical technician in Washington State’s teaching hospital. Her special interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, emergency care, and neurology.
Dr. Cole is the proud aunt to a niece and a nephew, and her furry family includes Morris, an orange domestic short-hair, and Albus Dumbledog, a German Shepherd. In her free time, she enjoys painting, drawing, hiking and backpacking, kayaking, reading, baking, and spending time with her family and pets.
