The veterinarians and staff at both Chimacum Valley Veterinary Hospital and Pet Townsend Veterinary Clinic volunteer their time and services with numerous organizations. Dr. Jeff Highbarger offers low-cost spay and neuter procedures through several of our local organizations, including Olympic Mountain Pet Pals, Jefferson County Humane Society, and Rescue Every Dog. In addition, both Chimacum Valley Veterinary Hospital and Pet Townsend Veterinary Clinic offer professional services, such as a free first exam to pets adopted from the Jefferson County Humane Society or any other verifiable shelter or rescue. They have also donated equipment to Center Valley Animal Rescue.
Every spring, our veterinarians and staff give presentations about careers in veterinary medicine to middle school students in Jefferson County during the American Association of University Women’s annual Career Day. They routinely provide mentorship and experiential learning opportunities for local high school and college students alike. They also donate services for auction to several local charity auctions for fundraising purposes.
