Chimacum Valley Veterinary Hospital Community Involvement

The veterinarians and staff at both Chimacum Valley Veterinary Hospital and Pet Townsend Veterinary Clinic volunteer their time and services with numerous organizations. One near and dear to our hearts is Center Valley Animal Rescue, a non-profit, no-kill rescue shelter founded by Sara Penhallegon, one of our Licensed Veterinary Technicians. Dr. Jeff also provides low-cost spays and neuters to our local organizations, such as Olympic Mountain Pet Pals, Jefferson County Humane Society, and Rescue Every Dog.

Every spring, our veterinarians and staff give presentations about careers in veterinary medicine to middle school students in Jefferson County during the American Association of University Women's annual career day.

During the Jefferson County Fair, our veterinarians volunteer in providing health screening exams for animal contestants at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Port Townsend.

Our veterinarians also donate their time in working with local raptor rehabilitator Cindy Dailey and the Discovery Bay Raptor Rehabilitation.
